when i think of uncle jim alot comes to mind...spanning from childhood memories of him being the only adult playing on grandmoms living room floor with the kids at christmas, to him loving to be at a good party with a soco in hand, to his avid involvement in political campaigning to support whichever democrat is running (nobodys perfect) lol, to the dedication he showed in his career as a ymca bigwig...i allways have respected my uncle jim as someone who works hard, plays hard, lives his life fully, and is very well rounded. he is someone who you could go to for some practical real world advice, and also is a ball buster and is good to kick back and joke around with. i have memories of a ghostbusters toy that jason had got for his birthday with the ectoplasm (green slime) that came with it and all the adults were repulsed by the snotty looking mess---but not uncle jim. he was sitting around the coffee table with us, and allthough he probably wouldnt admit it, he was enjoying himself as much as us kids were...uncle jim is also the kind of man who will speak up for somebody if he feels they are being mistreated. everyone who knows jim respects him and its hard to find somebody to say a bad word about him. no bullshit.
life is so damn short and i am ashamed that it took a serious issue like this to say a few words about my uncle, who i allways have and still do love very much. thank you tara for setting up the blog and making it easy for everyone to express their love, concern, and care for uncle jim. i hope that when you pull through this we can get together on a more regular basis. i want you to know how much Gods ears have been worn out from all the prayers on your behalf! keep on rollin and keep on fightin we all love you uncle jim!
